What we collect

Account information. Your email address, and a display name if you provide one. Email is required to sign in and to deliver briefs.

Your topics. The labels and search queries you configure. These are the substance of the service — they are sent to our retrieval provider each time a brief is generated.

Your briefs. Generated briefs are stored on your account, together with the raw research they were written from, so you can re-read them and so we can diagnose problems with generation.

Preferences. Your timezone, the hour you want your brief, and whether you want it emailed.

Usage counts. How many briefs you have generated on a given day, to enforce plan limits.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics. The only cookie set is the one that keeps you signed in.

Who we share it with

Sievum does not sell personal information and does not share it for advertising. We use a small number of processors, each receiving only what its job requires:

  • Supabase — hosts the database and handles authentication. Stores everything listed above.
  • Vercel — hosts and serves the application.
  • Perplexity — receives your topic queries in order to retrieve current sources. It does not receive your name or email.
  • Anthropic — receives the retrieved research, and your display name if set, in order to write the brief.
  • Stripe — handles payment if you subscribe. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • Resend — delivers brief emails, and receives your email address and the brief content to do so.

How long we keep it

Account data, topics, and briefs are kept for as long as your account exists. Delete your account from settings and they are removed immediately. Records we are required to retain for tax or accounting purposes — chiefly payment records held by Stripe — are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your topics at any time, change your email preferences in settings, and unsubscribe from brief emails using the link at the foot of any brief. You can delete your account, and everything held under it, from your settings page. To request a copy of your data, email us at the address below.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data — including access, correction, deletion, and portability. We honour these requests regardless of where you live.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Access to production data is limited to what is necessary to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Children

Sievum is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and notify active accounts by email before the change takes effect.
